15 August 2019, Manila, Philippines – UNIQLO launches the first roadside store in the Philippines, which is located in Westgate, Alabang 22km south of Manila. It is surrounded by local communities with residential areas, office buildings, restaurants, and schools. UNIQLO Westgate Alabang opens on 16th August, offering a new level of shopping experience, more personal and more convenient for Filipinos.

Masayoshi Nakamura, COO, UNIQLO Philippines, reveals “UNIQLO Philippines embraces a new UNIQLO business model by transforming from mall only business to newer various types of store for rapid expansion. UNIQLO Philippines aims to boost the vitality of the local area by becoming a lifestyle and cultural hub and a driver of local economic development and prosperity. The first roadside store in the Philippines aims to closely engage with the local community by improving convenience for customers and attracting new and sustainable businesses to the area.” He also adds that “We intend to follow the successful step of putting up UNIQLO roadside stores outside Japan like Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.” 

UNIQLO Westgate Alabang has a shopping space of 1,518 square meters. The operating hours are from 10.00am 10.00pm every day. The store carries a full range of UNIQLO LifeWear items for men, women, kids, and babies for an exceptional one-stop shopping experience the whole family can enjoy.  

Moreover, it includes a parking lot for UNIQLO customers, which is carefully designed to ensure enough space and accessibility for needs families with children, elderly people and people with disabilities. UNIQLO Westgate Alabang is situated at Alabang-Zapote Road in Westgate Development Filinvest City.  

For the opening weekend, August 16 to 18, UNIQLO Westgate Alabang will be open from 9.00am-10.00pm, and shoppers can receive a limited-edition UNIQLO dry bag with a minimum purchase of P3,000.

On the opening week, from August 16 to 22, shoppers can enjoy exclusive limited offers on UNIQLO’s U Crew Neck T-shirts (from 590 to P490), Pocketable Parkas (from 1,490 to P1,290), EZY Ankle Pants (from P1,490 to P1,290) and many more.

From August 16 to September 15, 2019, customers can get a stamp card with a minimum purchase of P3,000 and by presenting the UNIQLO App. One stamp card consists of exciting offers from Westgate Alabang partner merchants including:
