One of the good things this pandemic gave us is making use of our time while at home. For a foodie like me, whipping up something new in the kitchen is good. For the inventors of Baked Sushi, this may also be the case.

When my son told me that he would order Baked California Maki from a friend, I got curious. Wow, my favorite California Maki baked? This I gotta see and taste.

Sadly, it failed miserably. There wasn’t even a single mango inside!  I cannot even remember the other ingredients on the sushi. The more I missed the original California Maki.

I had another chance to have a taste of it and this time I am happy that I was introduced to it. Salmon HQ’s Crunchy California Bake is simply delicious. I loved the Kani and sweet Mango generously spread below that crunchy goodness! And I am just crazy over that hint of spiciness on it.  My son agrees.

Available Sizes for the Crunchy Baked California Maki:

Small – P500, good for 1-3 pax,
6 3/4”x 5 3/4” comes with 1 seaweed pack

Large – P1,200,good for 6-8 pax,

Salmon HQ also has Salmon, Scallops, Ebi Aburi Sushi Bake. Made up of perfect bite-sized fresh salmon with premium Kani, and secret cream sauce, seasoned rice, and topped with scallops, crunchy uni  & ebiko then perfectly torched bringing out the sweet smoky aroma and umami flavors. You will never feel cheated on because of the generous size and portions of all their ingredients. Devour it with seaweeds or completely on its own.

I’d still go for my California Maki. As for my son, he has a new favorite. A real seafood lover, this one.
