Mommshies, what do you usually do when you feel stressed out and tired from your daily chores? Well for me, whenever I want to loosen up my body from a day’s work, I reward myself by visiting a trusted spa. So off I go to Belleza Spa located at General Malvar St., Malate, Manila.
I am used to the usual Swedish massage whenever I’m in a spa. But this time, I wanted to try another service and was recommended to take the Hot Stone Massage. Since this is my first Hot Stone massage, I was a little skeptic and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Turned out to be a good choice.
After cleaning my feet by dipping in bubbling warm water, I was escorted inside the cubicle to prep up for the experience.
Since this is my first time, I had to take a look at the stones beforehand and saw the smooth and flat heated stones which I learned were volcanic in origin. Meaning they retain heat which is deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles.
The first thing the therapist did was strategically place warm stones on my back while I lay down on the table before beginning the actual massage. My therapist (Joy) asked if the heat from the stones is too much or if the pressure she is using is too harsh. Pain or discomfort during the massage process can cause more harm than good after the massage is over. Thank goodness she is good. As all the other therapists at Belleza as they are trained well.
Hot Stone massage is basically a Swedish massage incorporated with hot stones, so this is definitely better than just an ordinary massage which will leave you feeling good because aside from the fact that it relaxes the muscles, it also relieves pain, improves circulation and helps ease mental stress and tension. I can say that the combination of Swedish massage with the stones is the best experience so far and I will surely be back for more.
If you are looking for a relaxing spa experience, I safely recommend Belleza Spa where you will truly be energized, ready to take any task at hand. For more info and slot reservation please call 7088987.
