Allegro Beverage Corporation, in partnership with LNA Management Group is staging the ultimate and longest running Barista Competitions in the country. The 5th Latte Art Throwdown will be held on September 13, 2018 and the 12th Phil. Grand Barista Cup (PGBC) on September 14, 2018 at the Asia Food Expo (AFEX) in the World Trade Center Manila.
These events which has the following objectives – to promote the excellence and recognition of the barista profession, increase the appreciation for specialty coffee, and raise the bar for Filipino baristas competing in world championships – have grown in popularity and are celebrated by industry and coffee afficionados. It showcases the exceptional talent and craftmanship of the Filipinos in the art of coffee – the process of blending, style, creativity and presentation.
At the media launch held recently, Mr. Leo De Leon, President of Allegro Beverage announced that the grand winner of each event will receive a Championship trophy, a Franke fully automatic espresso/cappucino machine worth P100k, a barista Kit worth P15K, free overnight stay at Midas Hotel and Casino and Allegro gift packs from valued partners and sponsors.
The audience was treated to a mini mock up of what usually happens in the competition. Two colleageus were given the chance to showcase their talent in Latte Art and both were given gifts from generous partners.
