Hotel Sogo’s Corporate Social Responsibility
Hotel Sogo started its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program in 1998 when a group of concerned people requested to donate linens and pillowcases to the victims of floods and typhoons. Since then, the management decided that helping people in need is an important part as the business continues to grow. Hence the birth of ‘Sogo Cares’.
Through the program, the hotel successfully extends its service to the community through the Doctors on Wheels (DOW) Program that focuses on providing free medical consultations, lab examinations, and medications to underserved communities throughout the country.
The DOW medical bus is equipped and furnished with four examining beds, examining chairs, examination lights, and other equipment. The medical mission is regularly staffed by volunteer doctors, social workers, nurses, pharmacists, and Hotel Sogo personnel.
